LOCAL 709 J.A.C.

All classes will be held on Thursday nights at the Training Center. Classes start at 6:00 pm and end approximately at 9:00 pm. Location of the specific classroom will be posted. Only the safety classes have size restrictions on them. All others, just show up. For enrollment in the safety/O.S.H.A. courses, Mastery Test, please call the J.A.C. at (562) 907-7622.

March 27th and April 3rd (Two night class)
Competent Person Class for Underground excavation and trenching.
(Safety class)  You must attend both nights to receive a wallet card.

April 10, 17, 24 and May 1st (4 Thursdays)
10 Hour O.S.H.A. Safety Training.
You must attend all four nights to receive certification card from O.S.H.A.

May 8th & 15th
Underground Repair Class (Two nights)
This class will cover how to effectively conduct an underground repair and touch on all types of underground pipe, materials and equipment.
Armand Vincent will be the Instructor.

May 22nd
U.A. Sprinklerfitter Mastery Test study group
Overview and preparation class for those interested in taking the exam. Once we have a headcount the exam will be scheduled within a few weeks.

The remaining Thursday nights in May and June have no classes scheduled at this time. As we try and arrange worthwhile information to present our members, you will be notified in future mailings or the business manager’s newsletter.

Also if you want a C.P.R. or First Aid class call the J.A.C. and as soon as we get several members interested we’ll put a class together and notify you.
