Sprinkler Fitters U.A. Local 709 is a dedicated organization comprised of more than 1,000 skilled members, which includes seasoned Building and Metal Trades Journeymen and Journeywomen, Apprentices who are learning the trade, as well as Retirees who have contributed significantly throughout their careers. Our primary goal is to foster a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages the development of positive career paths while ensuring the highest standards of quality in fire suppression work.

We furnish signatory contractors with highly qualified individuals who possess the comprehensive knowledge and essential skills required to provide safe and reliable services. The task of installing fire protection systems is an enormous responsibility, one that our members respect and do not take lightly or treat casually. Fire suppression systems play a crucial role in safeguarding both lives and property, which is why their proper and consistent function is of grave importance in our communities.

Jurisdiction 

We work on residential, commercial and industrial sites across Southern California. Our territory includes all areas within the Los Angeles city limits and 25 miles beyond them. It also includes all military installations at Point Magu and Port Hueneme, the cities of Santa Paula, Santa Ana, Ontario, San Clemente Island, and most off-shore drilling operations between the northern and southern points of the jurisdiction. *Meetings are intended for members of Local 709 who may have a problem with alcoholism, addiction, or depression and would like someone to talk to. Or, if you feel you have an issue, this is a good place to start.

*Meetings will be run like any other group meeting, with the upmost privacy, anonymity and respect will be give to each and every member that attends.
