CPVC Certification Class This Class is designed to give you the proper methods of Solvent Cementing CPVC Pipe together and best practices of installation. This class is given by a representative from Lubirzol and a course completion card will be mailed out after the completion of the class. (We Have Space for 26 Members in this class). Copper I (2 nights) This class will cover basic safety as well as proper torch setup and safety. Students will learn proper technique for the installation of copper soldering and brazing. This course is a basic introduction to copper installation and is a prerequisite for Copper II. Students must wear work attire as well as long sleeve shirts, work boots and proper PPE. Scissor & Boom Lift Training This class will cover the basic safe operation of Arial Platforms classroom and practical. Also covered will be scissor lift safety and operation. Students will be given time to practice operation of each type of equipment. Proper work attire required. A certification card will be mailed out after class is completed. Hangers and Bracing This class will cover the proper types and uses of different types of hangers, bracing and attachments. Using NFPA 13 2013 ed. to identify what hangers can and cannot be used in different situations, as well as what types of attachments can be used in a given application. Reliable Sprinkler Co. Dry Valves We will cover the basic set up & trip test of both the new Dry Valves. This class will only be covering the Reliable Sprinkler valves and assemblies in this portion. Students will be given information on the installation, testing and maintenance of the Reliable valve assemblies. Participants must wear work attire and proper PPE. CPR This course uses the American Heart Association training and offers basic life support (BLS) training that reinforces the understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, performing CPR, choking relief, using an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival. OSHA 30 Hour (8 nights) The OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. This is an eight (8)-night class and you must attend all 8 nights to receive the 30-hour certificate, partial time will not be given . (We Have Space for 26 Members in this class). Dry Systems in Refrigerated Spaces This class will cover the basics of Dry Systems in refrigerated spaces. Using NFPA 13 2013 ed. this class will go in depth of requirements and best practices of installation, testing and maintenance of dry systems in refrigerated spaces. Victaulic Grooving Systems This course will cover grooving using Victaulic Corporations grooving technology to properly groove fire sprinkler pipe and using the proper methods and procedures. Methods of grooving will cover every types of grooving from large diameter pipe to “in air” grooving. This is a shop class and proper PPE will be required. This class is limited to 20 people. Trimble Total Robotic Station Layout (2 nights) This class will cover the set up and use of the Total Robotic Station as used for layout of fire protection systems. Students will run through set, trouble shooting and scenario situations to better familiarize themselves with the total robotic station. This class is limited to 8 people. First Aid This course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings. . Competent Person Training This class will prepare you to be capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them. NFPA 25 California Edition (2 nights) This class covers the NFPA 25 2013 California Edition ITM for water based fire protection systems. The class will cover the most used portions of NFPA 25 as well as proper report taking and record keeping. Also covered will be best practices and evaluations of reports. Underground Plan and Stake Reading Learn how to read, understand and utilize underground plans and staking for running fire protection underground piping. Using NFPA 24 2016 ed. this class will go in depth of requirements and best practices of installation of Private Fire Service Mains and Their Appurtenances. This class is limited to 20 people. Forklift Training This class will cover the basic safe operation of forklifts. Students will learn the safe operation of forklift use and will demonstrate the proper use and limitations of a forklift. Class room and field time will be given. Valve Repacking This class will cover methods and procedures of how to repack different types of valves including proper types of packing and gasket material.
